A production by the Gran Teatre del Liceu, ideal for audiences aged 10 and over.
“Of Opera” provides them with fragments from La Traviata by Verdi, Orpheus by Monteverdi, Dido and Aeneas by Purcell, Don Giovanni by Mozart, La damnation de Faust by Berlioz, L’italiana in Algeri by Rossini, Carmen by Bizet, Rigoletto by Verdi, Turandot by Puccini and L’Elisir d’Amore by Donizetti.
An abandoned theatre is the setting where “Of Opera” takes place, a surprising and mysterious place where two very different worlds meet: that of the protagonist, a young girl looking for a place to hold a party with her friends, and that of Vivace, a half-real, half-fantastic being who will introduce and lead her through the world of opera, unfamiliar to the young girl.
